It’s Nearly Ready….

I know that speech is the currency of the blogosphere, but there’s no point in talking if you have nothing to say, right? So what I can share with you is two things.

1. This evening I saw the most beautiful metaphor. A crowd had been assembled to celebrate the victory of Museveni in the Presidential elections and they had to parade, vuvuzelas, drums and all, down the main street of Gulu which was pitch black because of power outages.

2. My photo essay of Mao’s campaign is nearly finished. It’s a hard story to simplify, and I don’t think most of its audience will want a simplification, so please bear with me. It will be done in the next couple of days.

Meanwhile I wish all of my Ugandan readers a peaceful end to the elections. I hope your next few days will be undisturbed.

Undisturbed but disappointing. I find myself (somewhat stupidly) wishing for disturbed with a happier result.

I was ruling for Mao– but I hope he’ll be back in 2016. Very disappointed with M7 winning (?). Anyways, waiting for the pics.

  3. Barney says:

I won’t concern myself with the merits of the electoral process, but, it’s the worst result for this country. What’s worth celebrating? Museveni is not concerned in governing, but enriching himself and watch his cronies do the same.
